The Results Are In!

A quick phone call from London on Saturday brought the news that James P. came away with a 1st in Piobaireachd, 3rd in H/J and a 5th in the MSR. Being the only competitor in the B&C Grade that received a prize in all three events, he was the overall winner, winning the Angus Nicol Award. Way to go JP! He will be celebrating in style at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant for sure...Ryan was there for support so hopefully she snapped some photies along the way.
Of special note, Bruce Gandy, a native Victorian as well as a dear family friend...and a pretty damn good piper, came away with a 5th in the Bratach Gorm (Premier Piobaireachd). Iain Speirs, a fellow Spirit of Scotland-er, won that event. Leader of the Spirit....P/M Roddy MacLeod won the London Medallion for the Premier MSR as well as placing 2nd in the Premier March. These three fellas, plus James P. of course, were all playing Troy reeds! Other Spirit of Scotland-ers were amongst the prize list, not surprisingly. Jack Lee, another Canadian representative, came out well too. Well done to all!
